GWA Consultants is an award-winning mechanical engineering and building services specialist with more than 30 years of proven experience. Since 1990, we have delivered new builds, refurbishments, and fit out projects across the commercial, retail, industrial, education, hospitality, and healthcare sectors.

David Findley
David Findley is a Director with over 25 years of mechanical engineering experience. David has a passion for working with clients to deliver sustainable outcomes.
His specialty is building upgrades and refurbishment projects. He has a unique ability to understand the property’s goals and develop bespoke solutions to achieve the desired outcomes.
David has managed several large multi-disciplinary projects, with a focus on mechanical services. These include full building upgrades, mechanical services central plant upgrades, and building management and controls system upgrades.

Alastair Chapman
Alastair Chapman is a Director of GWA Consultants. With over 20 years’ mechanical engineering experience, Alastair first began his career at GWA as an undergraduate, then progressing to more senior roles within the firm. In 2020, he was appointed as a Director.
His specialty is building upgrades and refurbishment projects. These include full building upgrades, mechanical services central plant upgrades, and building management and controls system upgrades.
Alastair has a special interest in building compliance. He currently represents The Australian Institute of Refrigeration, Airconditioning and Heating (AIRAH) on the Standards Australia ME-062 Committee.

Mikaila Ganado
Mikaila Ganado is a Director with over 20 years’ mechanical engineering experience in the built environment and water services sector. She is passionate about developing innovative, efficient solutions for both new builds and pre-loved buildings. Mikaila has extensive experience in design, project management, commissioning, maintenance, and operations.
Mikaila is also a National President and non-exec director of AIRAH. She is the NSW Division’s Associate Director and past President. She is an advocate for improving diversity and inclusion and is the Chair of the Women of AIRAH.
